I thought that overall this game was good. Everything about it was cool (except the music, which tends to get on your nerves after a while). That is why I give it 4 Stars

Digimon World starts as a good game but the longer you play it the more frustrating it gets. Having your digimon die one after another after putting all that work in to making them the ultimate fighting machine gets really old really fast. The gameplay is alright but the sound and visuls are not very good which brings this rating down a lot. The funning conversations and the battle tournaments are good but in the end they are not good enough to boast the rank higher.

Digimon World Review, September 7, 2002

This game is quite long and involved with a lot more rp in it than you'd expect from something like this. Besure that when you get this you get a walkthrough from one of those walkthrough sites before you begin play but otherwise go and have fun. If your as much of a digimon enthusiast as I am you won't mind the small amount of prep work that needs doing to get your digimon up and running with the big boys so to speak. Make sure you have two memory cards so you and your friends can battle your digimon in the special battle area at the begining.

I was definently expecting more from Digimon. They made they game too stupid.I mean they didn't even look, sound,or "digivolve" realisticly.I've been hyped on Digimon since 3rd grade. But if you ask me I think you should get something like:Digimon World 3 or Gundam Battle Asult 1 and 2.So thanks for listening. And if you want more of my oppinions visit Kashhu.com or pojo.com See Ya There!

Not as good as I thought, July 12, 2002

It is not as good as I thought it was going to be! On T.V., it looked really cool, but it isn't, in my opinion. First of all, I don't like how you view it. What I mean by that is, you don't see the game as if you were looking straight ahead and walking. On the game, you see overhead/side view of the game. I konw that sounds confusing, but I don't really know how to explain it in words.Second, the digimon keep on getting killed! They have 3 lifes, so if you loose 3 battles, then your digimon is dead, and you get a new baby digimon that you have to raise again! Third, You have to feed them, take them to the bathroom, and let them take naps/sleep! I find that it is hard to get him to the bathroom every time it has to go! Now there are some good things, like not knowing what you are it is going to digivolve into, and go to the places. The only thing that I really liked about this game were the graphics. They were awesome! This is all my opinion. But I think you should rent this game before you buy it!

A fun game...but only for a little while, July 12, 2002

I am a big fan of Digimon, so like most fans of the game I decided to pick up my own copy of Digimon World. The storyline is you are a boy who has been brought into the Digital World to help save it from disaster. You have to recruit Digimon and bring them back to the main city to maintain order in the Digital World. At the beginning of the game, it's a lot of fun, but soon the whole concept gets old. Most of the time all you do is train your Digimon to ultimate only to have it die a little while later. When your off to far away places, and there's no bathroom nearby your digimon goes to the bathroom wherever you're located. Overall this game's plot is very weak making it somewhat boring, and you'll probably get tired of it very easily.

GAMEPLAY 2/5
You have to recruit Digimons to File City and it will take a damn long time. The part I hate most is the part where your Digimon die. Look at Digimon World 2! Does your Digimon die? And especially when you raised it until it got to the Ultimate level!

BATTLE 2/5
When battling, you have to press continously to let your Digimon fight and a fight gets so long. I just hate it.

GRAPHICS 3/5
Not bad, not good, just average.

MUSIC 1/5
Very irritating, escpecially when you're trying to concentrate on a boss fight.
